This helps us manage deliverables, milestones and customer expectations during solution planning, site readiness, solution deployment, training and support," adds Zohra. Examples of ARBA's potential to leapfrog client's future and anticipated requirements follow their ability to upgrade software to the releases of Windows operating system, Win 7, Win 8.0, and Win 8.1. "Over the past couple of years, there has been a positive shift to our technology for couple of key reasons. Firstly, clients have realized that there are few, if any, POS end-to-end systems that could easily be migrated to future releases of operating systems, be it Windows 7, or Windows 8.1. Secondly, our migration to SQL from legacy data bases is easy and cost-effective, as compared to manual lift and shift that our competition typically proposes," says Zohra. The multipronged impactAvailability of and accessibility to data from anywhere is possible with ARBA's new offerings. The solutions on offer include traditional on premise as well as cloud deployment options, as retail organizations constantly look to reduce costs for hardware, software, services and support. ARBA offers three deployment options. The On Premises option is the traditional method with the user interface, business logic, and database located onsite. The full Cloud option consists of an on premises user interface which operates as a thin client while connecting to the business logic and database, which are hosted on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The Hybrid option consists of a combination of an on premises application with a database hosted on the Cloud. "Retailers/food services organiza-tions can now leverage our cloud solu-tions to advance their goals on mobility and analytics, optimize business out-comes in channel operations, merchan-dising, marketing/loyalty programs, warehouse/transportation fulfilment, sales and services support, and reduce total costs of ownership," says Zohra. Additionally, cloud solutions provide agility in solution enhancements, up-dates, upgrades, deployment and sup-port, saving money for both retailers and their customers. "We have seen a rapid growth in the number of businesses embracing mobile/tablet based point of sale systems, in the past few years. CFOs are looking to POS solutions to provide them with real-time accessibility to profitability reporting and business intelligence. Development of a mobility/wireless solution on smart-phones and tablets allow ARBA's customers to use their POS solutions in a way that was not possible before. We have recently launched a new mobile Point of Sale solution, built specifically for Microsoft Windows Tablets," says Kathy. Mobility helps further speed throughput at the point of sale, while minimizing the hardware footprint. ARBA's customers use mobile solutions in a variety of ways. One example is the use of mobile POS devices for line busting at peak times, when retail checkout lines at the traditional register terminals are long. In this scenario, the mobile device is ideal for handling cashless transactions, such as credit cards, employee payroll deductions, declining balance accounts or house accounts. The company has also developed EMV interface in anticipation of 2015 mandates on credit card security compliance.Leading by designARBA has wrapped excellent service and support around their software products. "Our response time to all calls is measurable in seconds, with 90 percent issue-closure rate the same day, 365 days/year," claims Zohra. ARBA's crisp, clear, and proactively updated documentation, state-of-the-art support, and robust training program assures client retention due to end-to-end customer experience the company provides through its products and services. This will help customers to forge ahead of the competition by enhancing profit margins and be a long-term ARBA partner."Insecure solutions, that become legacy sooner than later, will reduce the retail sector's competitive edge. Keeping our solutions and our client relevant is the key aspect of our mission. ARBA will continue to maintain an industry-focus on foodservice, healthcare, and retail, and enhance our Cloud and Mobility offerings with these clients in mind," says Zohra. Point of Sale Device
