| | OCTOBER 202219CIOReviewA significant concept TimeSuite has performed on is building out our own report writer. The result has been overcoming limitations that 3rd party report writers bring to a system. "In the past, integrating with Crystal Reports was an advantage. "While Crystal provided us with superior capabilities when it came to reports, we wanted more." says Malouff. By developing their own report writer, they've entwined the advantages of a report writer into their dialogs, grids and other facilities. Different types of software have different advantages. Spreadsheets have specific advantages, database applications have specific advantages, and report writers have specific advantages. TimeSuite has become more than a traditional grid/dialog based application that retrieves data from and updates data to a database. By entwining a report writer into its core, TimeSuite has taken visibility and flexibility to another level. The software's dialogs and grids are simple to understand, and the views and scope allow users to dictate their own workflow. The automated audit trial enables users to easily correct mistakes in the books. For non-transactional data, records have a history tab that shows who, what, and when changes have been made. "We're a real time system and do not do batch processing. Transactions post immediately," says Malouff. Mobile timecard collection, daily logs and production capturing are required even when there is no internet or cell phone coverage. TimeSuite's offline mode allows users to close their app, bring it back up, clock in, clock out, update and create records that are synched when internet/cell access becomes available. TimeSuite's onboarding process is meticulous. Because the system set-up is modifiable, the pre-planning process is simplified. The system comes set up. The implementation process includes adjusting the set-up to meet a Company's needs. And, the Company can change these settings any time in the future as the Company's requirements evolve. TimeSuite's team imports clients' list data of vendors, customers, employees, budgets, inventory, and fixed assets. At the implementation date, the team imports open agings, purchase orders, the trial balance, job budgets, and job schedule of values. IF applicable, historical transactions are imported. For visibility: TimeSuite takes a creative approach to delivering facilities. From every Grid, users can click on facility icons for Cards, Kanban Boards, Scheduling tools and Reporting. The existing grid data populates in the selected facility. While our Grids offer significant filtering, sorting, and grouping capabilities; being able to instantly see the data in these optional facilities offers advanced visibility and workflow capabilities. Other visibility features include: drill-down to detail, unlimited definable views for both dialogs and grids, and dynamic tabs for dialogs. For communication: email, text messaging, notifications, drill-down to detail, RFIs, Submittals, Plans and Annotations, other document control, task management, and resource scheduling are centralized. TimeSuite's rearchitected core accommodates making adjustments for customers. "We do not charge our customers for development. We encourage our customers to help us help them grow into what the future holds for software." says Malouff. Considered by industry leaders to be the only true ERP system in the construction business, TimeSuite provides ease of modification and with it, the ability to scale businesses as desired When we push for more at TimeSuite, the software is propelled forward rather than getting bogged down with an inferior architecture
