| | March 20176CIOReviewCitrix is in the path of rejuvenation today. Under the leadership of Kirill Tatarinov, who took over the company a year ago, the virtualization juggernaut is slowly streamlining its diverse, and varied product ecosystem to focus on its core capabilities. The company has recently completed spin-off and merger of its GoTo family of service offerings with LogMeIn. New initiatives are on the way as the CEO is making hard decisions needed to right the ship, refocusing the overall messaging. The new area of focus--on its major part--will be directed towards making the `workspace of the future' a reality for nimble enterprises. The key point here is giving people secure access to any app and helping them construct workspaces that consist of multiple apps, irrespective of whether it's web app, virtualized app, or mobile app, and that spans network gateway, network access, and obviously with the virtualization and mobility management technologies that Citrix already own.All of that combined gives Citrix the ability to deliver Workspace-as-a-Service. But it doesn't end there. As the CEO said, "Today, Citrix Cloud is one of the most important priorities for the company." While many people knew Citrix only as a virtualization company and millions of people around the world are running on Citrix every day, the company wants to make the new message loud and clear. According to Kirill Tatarinov, by 2020, Citrix expects more than half of their new customers to join them in the cloud. For IT, it will mean serving the employees of their organizations with consistent workspaces that can all be delivered from Citrix Cloud. This will be a winning proposition for Citrix, putting them at the forefront of competition with the help of its channel partners. As the new wave of enthusiasm fills across the Citrix landscape, our role with this annual edition on Citrix is to help enterprises discover best of breed solution providers in the arena. This edition blends thought leadership from subject matter experts with stories on what the selected vendors are doing for their clients.Let us know your thoughts.Jeevan George Managing Editoreditor@cioreview.com Copyright © 2017 ValleyMedia Inc.
