A definitive banger of the show was the concept of a 3D printed car body, which is something that makes your imagination run wildA car completely tailored to your individual taste and design.The Geneva Motor Show was an instance of growing optimism in the industry. CEOs and presidents of several auto makers expect rise in consumer sales. Automotive firms worldwide will roll out more than 85 million vehicles in 2014, and they are at the forefront of technology innovation--from vehicle technology to supply chain optimization, to product development and manufacturing, to aftermarket service and support. Automotive manufacturers are leveraging cloud computing, Big Data, mobility and other technologies to drive innovation--making this, one of the most exciting times in the industry.Some of these technologies are challenging the traditional way of doing business. For instance, for generations, the auto dealer has been the primary avenue for carmakers to sell vehicles to consumers. But technology is rapidly changing that equation. Changing customer habits and expectations are causing manufacturers to rethink how they build and sell vehicles.
