New and improved approaches to integrate data at the speed of business are radically impacting the operational efficiency. Enterprises now use a combination of data integration technologies that support new requirements such as mobile integration and advanced digital marketing to meet the distinct needs created by various application architectures.Developments as diverse as cloud, big data, NoSQL, analytics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) continue to reshape enterprise data integration landscape. Obtaining accurate insights from large volumes of data gets more complicated as data sources and IT environments change. Regardless of the source or originating format, data executives must be able to access and integrate enterprise data across social, mobile, and cloud technologies. In this scenario, the traditional ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) paradigm isn't agile enough to handle data and doesn't provide the self-service required by today's companies. Furthermore, even though businesses are making new investments in public cloud computing, they continue to rely heavily on their existing on-premise IT systems and private cloud deployments. In such a mixed state--between public cloud and private data center deployments--organizations must be able to rapidly load data to cloud-based databases and run processes in a timely fashion. New data integration technologies facilitate this by providing methods to synchronize enterprise data between traditional on-premise systems to the cloud. Further, customers today seek advanced data integration technology to support the volume, velocity, and variety of big data as well as to ensure that their analytic initiatives are able to support a growing number of operational users with access to up-to-date, trusted data. Data integration also plays a leading role in consolidation and modernization initiatives by structuring the interchange of information and improving system performance. On that note, we present to you a special edition on Data Integration Technology. Keeping core technology in mind, we believe these Data Integration Solution Providers are truly capable of delivering extensive insights from any data source with maximum performance. We would love to hear your experience of leveraging these technology solutions to steer your business.Jeevan GeorgeManaging Editoreditor@cioreview.comMatthew JacobSamden SherpaSandeepa Majumdar Alex D'Souza Jade RayJem ElizabethCopyright © 2015 CIOReview.
