Everything functions seamlessly, and there's no doubt it will continue to do so. However, if any of these interactions were to fail definitively, it could complicate the day for more than one person. In today's world, as digital users, we depend significantly on technology. As professionals in this field, our job is to design solutions that simplify life, enable agility, and accomplish things we couldn't even imagine before. Today, technology is omnipresent; it is in every moment of our lives, and technically, every day, we have more sophisticated services that require various 'actors' or components to function. Although we can prevent failures (technical or human) and reduce their probability, we are not exempt from them occurring or threats, whether natural, cybersecurity-related, or others, materializing. So, besides prevention, what can we do to build trust in the digital age? The answer may lie in technological resilience, and here are some key aspects:Business Processes and Impact AnalysisThis should be the starting point for any resilience strategy. Our client (the business) determines the required level of availability. It's crucial to identify the technologies supporting business processes and classify which ones are critical (their unavailability would have a negative impact on the business). Additionally, determining their operating time, in conjunction with Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) goals, triggers the design and, consequently, the costs. In technology, everything is possible. We can achieve the highest levels of protection and resilience, but the chosen architecture will be decisive for the TECHNOLOGICAL RESILIENCE: THE KEY TO NAVIGATING THE DIGITAL WORLDIN MY OPINIONIN MY OPINIONBibiana Lancheros
