The ease of use and flexibility makes SharePoint a popular choice among organizations of all sizes. According to Microsoft market research, 78 percent of Fortune 500 companies use SharePoint to manage their employees, documents, and processes. In fact, there are very few products like SharePoint for which the use cases vary from organization to organization. With such opportunities at stake, Microsoft has fixed one of the major issues that was plaguing SharePoint ecosystem over the years--user experience.SharePoint 2016 brings a new focus onto the user experience along with performance, scaling and deployment improvements. Today, SharePoint is more user-friendly, and when used in collaboration with any cloud storage service, it can add a great deal of versatility to any organization. The company has also taken into consideration the mobile users who want to access and create content when they are outside of the office. SharePoint app is a major move towards this. It allows users to author and publish content while they are on the go. The users can add components like title, body text, images, embed documents, and once published, the story will appear on the news service on SharePoint home in Office 365 along with the SharePoint app, and also on the team site. Also, to take care of the security, the new limited access option enables administrators to grant their users access to SharePoint on devices they don't manage. While granting the access outside office intranets, it disables SharePoint's download, print and sync capabilities, ensuring that no sensitive data remains behind when a user logs off. With new developments in the pipeline, enterprises that are looking to change into a SharePoint ecosystem, or those who want to upgrade to newer versions need the assistance of experienced vendors in the space. Our aim with this special edition is to highlight into best of breed solution providers in the space.Let us know your thoughts.Jeevan George Managing Editoreditor@cioreview.comRevamp to Success
